Use your Portable app on your computer as normal, save all your changes, to a folder in the Program folder, maybe in a new folder entitled “my Saves” or something, close the program you were using, then exit Portable Apps. You should now be able to open PortableApps from the Amazon Sync Folder you created on one of your PCs, I suggest only having one open at a time. Once Amazon starts syncing, you can actually overwrite the programs in the Amazon folders on your Computer with the programs themselves, keeping the folder structure intact, so that the sync will go much faster. Wait for Amazon Photos to sync your PortableApps and download all the files to all the other computers. On all computers, enable sync in settings, and select the same PortableApps folder on Amazon Drive as the Drive Sync Folder, and create new folders on the other computers the same as the first Computer sync folder you made on the first computer. Repeat the Installation of Amazon Photos and sign in on your other computers. You can create a shortcut the the folder inside that Amazon folder and place it somewhere convenient to access. #ONLY UPLOAD ON AMAZON DRIVE DESKTOP SYNC PC#
Create a New Folder on your Computer named “PortableApps Amazon Sync” or something as the sync folder on your PC. Select the PortableApps on Amazon Drive where you uploaded it as the Amazon Drive Folder to Sync. You can select “Disable Sync for New Top Level Folders” to automatically sync other apps you add in the same folder on your computer. Click the settings button in the top right. Open Amazon Photos, do not back up or download anything. Take note of any files that didn’t complete, and search them in your computer folder and put them in the appropriate directories, if needed. Select yes to keep both copies of any duplicate files. Copy the entire PortableApps folder to the top level of your Amazon Drive. 
Download Amazon Photo App for Windows & sign in to that as well.Open PortableApps Settings, and set everything up as you want it, skins, appearance, organization etc.įor the rest, it’s basically the same set up as what is described in my previous post here.Better you keep Portable Apps you use without needing sync on your USB Key. Uploading & Downloading 1 GB worth of 20,000+ files can take a very long time.
You want as slim a build as possible, to make it simple to download to New Devices, if you need to.

Install it to the same folder it was downloaded to. Download PortableApps to a new folder on your PC where you want to keep it. It’s great for people who use PortableApps on different computers without USB, or for keeping your changes in the cloud to access with non-Portable versions of the apps, or with different desktop or Mobile Programs & Apps, etc. 
This method allows you to use the Portable app on all your computers, or it also allows you to simply have an automatic cloud transfer of the actual files you’re working on, than you can take from the App folder, and open in your stand-alone program, if desired. The one that comes free with your Prime account has only 5GB of storage space, so it’s best to keep this PortableApps installation to really only the apps that you really need to sync information between, such as Notepad++, Blender, Audacity.
